Michael D. Scanlan (rođen 1961)[1] jest američki diplomat koji je bio 11. međunarodni supervizor za Brčko distrikt u periodu od februara 2019. do 30. juna 2022. Scanlan je također s tom funkcijom bio i prvi zamjenik visokog predstavnika u Uredu visokog predstavnika u Sarajevu.[2]
Biografija
Prije dolaska u Bosnu i Hercegovinu, Michael Scanlan je bio šef Misije Organizacije za evropsku sigurnost i saradnju (OSCE) u Moldaviji i OSCE-ov posrednik u procesu Pridnjestrovske nagodbe (august 2014 - august 2018).[2]
Tokom 30 godina provedenih u američkom State Departmentu, bio je direktor za istočnoevropska pitanja u Washingtonu, predsjednik misije u američkoj ambasadi u Minsku, Bjelorusija,[1] te savjetnik u Zastupničkom domu Sjedinjenih Američkih Država - Odboru za vanjske poslove.[2]
Bogato iskustvo stekao je na Zapadnom Balkanu i u postsovjetskim zemljama, uključujući službu u Ukrajini, Armeniji i Kirgistanu, kao i u Bosni i Hercegovini, Crnoj Gori i Hrvatskoj u misiji UNTAES (Prijelazna uprava UN-a za istočnu Slavoniju, Baranju i zapadni Srijem).[2]
