NVIDIA
NVIDIA je američka multinacionalna kompanija sa sjedištem u Santa Clari u Kaliforniji.[1] Kompanija je koja dizajnira grafičke procesore, aplikativne programske interfejse za primjenu na polju nauke o podacima i visokoperformansno računarstvo kao i sisteme na čipu za mobilno računarstvo i automobilsku industriju. Dominanti je snabdjevač hardvera i softvera za umjetnu inteligenciju.[2][3] Profesionalna linija grafičkih procesora koristi su radnim stanicama i nalazi svoju primjenu u poljima kao što su arhitektura, inženjerstvo, građevinarstvo, multimedija i naučno istraživanje.[4] Njena platforma CUDA omogućila je stvaranje masovno paralelnih programa,[5][6] i koriste se superračunarima širom svijeta.[7][8]
Historija
Jen-Hsun Huang, Chris Malachowsky i Curtis Priem su osnovali nVidia kompaniju u januaru 1993, ali je tek 1997. počela aktivno učestvovati kada je na tržište izbacila RIVA grafičke procesore.
