Proteales je veliki red cvjetnica iz razreda Magnoliopsida, divizija Tracheophyta, carstvo Plantae.[1]
Ovaj red dikotledonskih biljaka imenovan je po tipskom rodu Protea, porijeklom iz južne Afrike. Najpoznatija vrsta je Protea cynaroides, nacionalni cvijet Južnoafričke Republike, koji se smatra za jednim od najljepših na svijetu.
Red Proteales ima četiri porodice sa oko 2.000 vrsta.[2] ranih prostranjenih po tropima i suptropima Amerike i južne i jugoistočne Azije, u Sjevernoj Americi, Australiji, tropskoj Africi i Mediteranu, a najviše rodova i vrsta je u porodici Proteaceae. Porodica Sabiaceae nekada je bila i posebni red: Sabiales.

Prema katalogu života, kunstruiran je slijedeći kladogram ovog reda.[3]
