U enzimologiji, sve-trans-retinol 13,14-reduktaza (1.3.99.23) je enzim, koji je kod ljudi kodiran genom RETSAT sa hromosoma 2.[5][6][7]Katalizira hemijsku reakciju
- sve-trans-13,14-dihidroretinol + akceptor sve-trans-retinol + reducirani akceptor
Dakle, dva supstrata ovog enzima su sve-trans-13,14-dihidroretinol i akceptor, dok su njegova dva proizvoda sve-trans-retinol i reducirani akceptor. U fiziološkim uslovima, reakcija se odvija u suprotnom smjeru katalizirajući zasićenje 13-14 dvostruke veze sve-trans-retinola.

Funkcija
Ovaj enzim pripada porodici oksidoreduktaza, posebno onih koji djeluju na CH-CH grupu donora sa drugim akceptorima. Sistematski naziv ove klase enzima je sve-trans-13,14-dihidroretinol:akceptor 13,14-oksidoreduktaze. Drugi nazivi u uobičajenoj upotrebi uključuju retinol saturaza, RetSat, (13,14)-sve-trans-retinol saturaza i sve-trans- retinol:sve-trans-13,14-dihidroretinol saturaza.
Gen je također nazvan PPAR-alfa-reguliranim genskim proteinom koji je izazvan gladovanjem.[9]
