Ribonukleotid

Ribonukleotid je monomernakomponenta ribonukleinskih kiselina. To je nukleotid koji se se sastoji od:

Purinska ili pirimidinska baza je vezana za molekulu riboze, na koju se nadovezuje fosfat. Baza može biti adenin (A), guanin (G), citozin (C), ili uracil (U). Timin (T), koji se nalazi u dezoksiribonukleotidima, u Rnk je, dakle, zamijenjen timinom, koji nije nađen među ribonukleotidima živih organizama. Ribonukleotidi imaju jednu, dvije, ili tri fosfatne grupe koje su vezane za šećer ribozu.^[4]

Među ribonukleotide se ubraja adenozin trifosfat (ATP), koji je glavni izvor energije u procesima ćelijskog metabolizma.
