Robin Andrew Guthrie (rođen 4. januara 1962) škotski je muzičar, tekstopisac, kompozitor, producent i audio inženjer. Najpoznatiji je kao suosnivač alternativne rok-grupe Cocteau Twins. Tokom svoje karijere, Guthrie je svirao različite muzičke instrumente, uključujući gitaru, bas-gitaru, klavijature i bubnjeve, a također je bio uključen u programiranje, semplovanje i obradu zvuka.
Karijera
Nakon raspada grupe Cocteau Twins 1998, Guthrie je krenuo u solo karijeru. Njegov solo debitantski album Imperial objavljen je 2003. Surađivao je s Haroldom Buddom na stvaranju muzike za film Mysterious Skin 2005. Guthrie je potpisao solo ugovor sa Darla Recordsom 2006, što je dovelo do izdavanja albuma Continental i EP-ova Everlasting i Waiting for Dawn.
Guthrie je dalje surađivao sa Haroldom Buddom na albumima After the Night Falls i Before the Day Breaks 2007. Guthrie je sarađivao i sa Johnom Foxxom,[3] a izdao je i razne solo albume i EP-ove kao što su Carousel, Sunflower Stories i Fortune.
Uz muzičku karijeru, Guthrie se bavi i producentskim radom. Producirao je albume za grupe kao što su Felt, The Gun Club i Lush, kao i miksanje za album Amber Smith "RePRINT" 2005.
Trenutno nastupa uživo pod imenom "The Robin Guthrie Trio" i živi u Francuskoj sa suprugom Florence.
