Staurakije
Staurakije (grč. Σταυράκιος) bio je bizantijski car, koji je samostalno vladao Bizantijskim carstvom od 26. jula 811. do 2. oktobra iste godine. Umro je 11. januara 812.
Život
Car Staurakije je bio sin cara Nikefora I i njegove supruge te brat Prokopije, koja se udala za Mihaela Rangabea. Nikefor je sina učinio svojim suvladarom u decembru 803. Prema svetom Teofanu, Staurakije je bio optužen za silovanje te je bio potpuno nepodoban za vladanje. 20. decembra 807. Staurakije je oženio Teofano od Atine; par je bio bez djece. Nakon očeve smrti, Staurakije je kratko samostalno vladao te je abdicirao u korist sestrinog muža;[1] kasnije se povukao u manastir.[2]
