Termofite
Termopfite (stgrč. thérmos = toplota, vrućina + phyton = biljka) su biljke koje su tolerantne i/ili održavaju opstanak na visokim temperaturama, uključujući i izvore vrele vode (gejzire i ostale)
Takve biljke su kategorirane prema ekološkoj valenci na visoke temperature, bez obzira na sistematsku pripadnost, uključujući i biološke ekstreme.[1][2]
Najpoznatiji predstavnici ove ekološke grupe su biljke kao:
- Deinococcus–Thermus grupa, uključujući i Thermus aquaticus, vrstu bakterija i
- Cyanobacteria, modrozelene alge.
