Tintoretto[1][2][3][4][5] (pravim imenom Jacopo Comin; 29. septembar 1518 – 31. maj 1594) je bio jedan od najvećih slikara venecijanske škole i najvjerovatnije zadnji veliki slikar italijanske renesanse. Zbog njegove fenomenalne energije u slikanju nazvan je Il Furioso, i njegova dramatična upotreba perspektive prostora i specijalnih efekata sa svijetlom napravilo ga je pretečom barokne umjetnosti.
