Funkcija
Vezikulski posredovano sortiranje proteina ima važnu ulogu u segregaciji unutarćelijskihih molekula u različite organela. Genetičke studije kvasca identifikovale su više od 40 vakuokskih sortiranja proteina (VPS) gena uključenih u transport vezikula do vakuola. Ovaj gen je član porodice Sec1 domena i pokazuje visok stepen sličnosti sekvence sa mišjim, pacovskim i kvaščevim Vps45. Tačna funkcija ovog gena nije poznata, ali njegova visoka ekspresija u monjedarnim ćelijamama periferne krvi ukazuje na ulogu u prometu proteina, uključujući upalnene medijatore.[6]
