Lucigadus nigromaculatus és una espècie de peix de la família dels macrúrids i de l'ordre dels gadiformes.

Morfologia

Els mascles poden assolir 34 cm de llargària total.^[2]^[3]

Depredadors

A Austràlia és depredat per Cyttus traversi, Macruronus novaezelandiae^[4] i Helicolenus percoides.^[5]

Hàbitat

És un peix d'aigües profundes que viu entre 200-1463 m de fondària,^[6] tot i que, normalment, ho fan entre 400-800.^[2]

Distribució geogràfica

Es troba al sud d'Austràlia,^[7]^[8]^[9]^[10] Nova Zelanda^[11]^[12] i Xile.^[13]^[2]
