Squalogadus modificatus és una espècie de peix de la família dels macrúrids i de l'ordre dels gadiformes.

Morfologia

Els mascles poden assolir 35 cm de llargària total.^[5]^[6]

Hàbitat

És un peix d'aigües profundes que viu entre 600-1740 m de fondària.^[5]

Distribució geogràfica

Es troba al Gabon, el Golf de Mèxic, el Japó,^[7]^[8] Nova Zelanda^[9] i el sud-est del Pacífic.^[10]^[11]^[5]
