Central Valley

Central Valley er en bred, aflang, flad dal, der dominerer det indre Californien i USA. Den er 60-100 km bred og 720 km lang parallelt med Stillehavskysten og Sierra Nevada. Den dækker et areal på 47.000 km2,[1] hvilket er 11 % af hele Californien.
Central Valley kendes for sin jordbrugsproduktion, hvor de producerer over 50 % af de frugter, grøntsager og nødder, der dyrkes i USA.[2] Over 28.000 km2 af arealet bliver kunstvandet via. vandreservoirs og kanaler.[3]
Dalen har flere byer, hvilket inkluderer Californiens hovedstad Sacramento. De største byer er: Sacramento, Fresno, Bakersfield, Stockton, Modesto, Visalia–Porterville, Merced, Chico, Redding, Yuba City, Hanford–Corcoran, Madera og Red Bluff.
Central Valley kan områdeinddeles i Sacramento Valley (nord), San Joaquin Valley (centralt) og Tullare Valley (syd).
