Herman Red Elk
Herman Red Elk (født 1918 i Poplar) var en yanktonai (de) billedkunstner fra Fort Peck Reservation, Montana. Arbejdede i hæren indtil en sygeindlæggelse i Rapid City, South Dakota, hvor han blev inspireret af yanktonaien Oscar Howes kunstnerkarriere. Deltog i seminarer på University of South Dakota under Howe. Brugte akrylfarver til at genskabe scener fra det svundne stammeliv på akvarelpapir.[1]
