Highland Distillers var en skotsk whisky-destillerioperatør og blender i Skotland.
Historie
Highland Distillers blev grundlagt i 1887 af Robertson & Baxter med det formål at drive destillerier til forsyning af blended whisky-mærker. Selskabet drev Bunnahabhain og Glenrothes og købte i 1892 Glenglassaugh. I 1899 opkøbte Highland Distillers Tamdhu. I 1937 købte virksomheden Highland Park.[1]
I 1970 opkøbte Highland Distillers Matthew Gloag & Son, producenter af Famous Grouse blended whisky.[2]
I 1988 blev Parkmore solgt til Highland Distillers, og bygningerne blev omdannet til et whisky-lageranlæg.[3]
I 1990 opkøbte Highland Distillers Glenturret[1] og i 1996 The Macallan i Speyside.[4]
Highland Distillers blev opkøbt af Edrington Group i 1999. William Grant & Sons og Edrington Group tog Highland Distillers af børsen i 2000.[5]
