Omuthiyagwiipundi (kort: Omuthiya) er hovedstaden i regionen Oshikoto i det nordlige Namibia. Den har omkring 7.500 indbyggere.[2] Før Omuthiya var Tsumeb den regionale hovedstad.[3] Byen blev udpeget i oktober 2007, og Omuthiya byråd blev etableret i september 2008.[4] Omuthiya har et nationalt trafikinformationssystem (NaTIS)-kontor og udsteder nummerpladen MT.[5]
Geografi
Omuthiya ligger cirka 10 km fra Etosha Nationalpark.
Politik
Omuthiya styres af et byråd med syv pladser.[6]
Oshikotoregionen, som Omuthiya ligger i, er en højborg for Namibias regerende parti SWAPO. Ved kommunalvalget i 2015 nominerede ingen oppositionspartier en kandidat, og SWAPO vandt ubestridt.[7]
