Career

2017-2022

Öz won her first professional title in the singles event at the ITF tournament held at Manavgat, Turkey in 2017, defeating Ilona Georgiana Ghioroaie from Romania in the final.[3]

She made her WTA Tour main-draw debut at the 2018 İstanbul Cup, where she received a wildcard into the singles draw, and in the doubles main draw, partnering Melis Sezer.[4]

Partnering Başak Eraydın, she won the Gold medal in the women's doubles at the 2018 Mediterranean Games, defeating Bosnian pair Nefisa Berberović and Dea Herdželaš in the final which went to a deciding champions tiebreak.[5][6]

Entering as a wildcard at the 2022 Qatar Open, Öz lost in the first round to Madison Brengle.[7] Having qualified for the 2022 Copa Colsanitas, she reached the second round with a win over Daniela Seguel,[8] but lost her next match to defending champion and top seed Camila Osorio.[9]

At the 2022 Swedish Open, Öz defeated eighth seed Kamilla Rakhimova in the first round.[10] She went out in round two against Viktoriya Tomova.[11]

Öz reached her first WTA 125 semifinal at the 2022 Montevideo Open, defeating Rosa Vicens Mas[12] and Darya Astakhova,[13] before losing in the last four to Léolia Jeanjean.[14]

2023-2024

Öz received wildcard entries into the 2023 Qatar Open and the 2023 Dubai Tennis Championships, but lost in the first round to Victoria Azarenka[15] and Marta Kostyuk[16] respectively.

Ranked No. 210, she entered the main draw as lucky loser at the 2023 Transylvania Open in Cluj Napoca, although she again went out in the opening round, this time to Miriam Bulgaru.[17]

At the 2023 MundoTenis Open, Öz defeated sixth seed Anna Bondár to reach the second round,[18] where she lost to eventual champion Ajla Tomljanović.[19] The following week made it through to round two at the 2023 Argentina Open thanks to a win over Valentini Grammatikopoulou,[20] but was then defeated by eighth seed María Lourdes Carlé.[21]

Öz reached the second round at the 2023 Montevideo Open, defeating Jamie Loeb[22] , before losing to fourth seed Julia Riera in three sets.[23]

At the 2024 Zavarovalnica Sava Ljubljana, she overcame wildcard entrant Živa Falkner in the first round,[24] but then lost her next match to second seed Nuria Parrizas Diaz.[25]
