Note: The match was originally played on 8 October 2023, but was abandoned in second-half stoppage time, with Montpellier leading 4–2, after a firework thrown from a Montpellier stand exploded near Clermont goalkeeper Mory Diaw. The teams were then ordered to replay the match from the beginning behind closed doors at a later date.[17]
