The 2023 Boston Marathon was a marathon race held in Boston, Massachusetts, on April 17, 2023. It was the 127th official running of the race,[2] and 125th time it was run on course (excluding the virtual event of 2020, and the ekiden of 1918). It also marked the 10th anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombing.[3][4][5] The field was limited to 30,000 runners.[6]
