Alena Kovačková
Alena Kovačková (born 13 June 2008) is a Czech tennis player.[1] She has a career-high junior combined ranking of No. 8, achieved on 10 June 2024. Personal lifeShe has a younger sister Jana who is also tennis player.[2] CareerJunior careerWhilst ranked European number one in the U14s, Kovackova won the U16 title at the Tennis Europe Masters in Monte Carlo in October 2022.[3] Later that year she became the first girl to win both the U14 and U16 "Player of the Year" awards in the same year.[4] In July 2023, she won the Wimbledon girls' doubles alongside compatriot Laura Samsonová. In the final, they faced Hannah Klugman and Isabelle Lacy of Great Britain, winning in straight sets.[5] It was the first Czech pairing to win the title since Barbora Krejčíková and Kateřina Siniaková in 2013.[6] Defending the Wimbledon girls' doubles title alongside Samsonová in 2024, they lost in the quarterfinals to Mika Stojsavljevic and Mingge Xu.[7] She played in the girls' doubles at the 2025 Australian Open alongside her sister, Jana.
