Dum Dum Cantonment is an elevated metro station of line 4 of Kolkata Metro.^[2] It is situated just beside the Dum Dum Cantonment railway station.^[3] This station was proposed in Line 4, in the budget of 2010–11.^[4] It is also the part of the integration of old line of Circular Railway from Dum Dum Cantonment to Biman Bandar.^[5]^[6]^[7]

This is an elevated station having 2 levels.

3 Entry/Exit gates are there in this station. Gate 1 at South end will serve Subhas Nagar. Gate 2 will connect existing Foot Over Bridge (FOB) of Dum Dum Cantonment railway station and allow people to go directly Mezzanine floor. Gate 3 at North end will serve Health more and surrounding Dum Dum Cantonment areas.

8 Auto services are available from this station. Autos are available towards Nagerbazar More, Promod Nagar Bazar, Mathkal, Matish Roy Setu, Shibtala, Sukur Ali More, 1 no. Airport Gate and Dudhpukur.

Bus route number 30D serves the station which runs from Dum Dum Cantonment to Babughat.^[8]

Dum Dum Cantonment railway station is just beside the metro station.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport is just 3.9 km away from the station which will be connected via this metro line. The Jai Hind metro station which will serve the airport is the fourth station of Noapara to Barasat bound trains.^[9]
