Future Guernsey
Future Guernsey, formerly Guernsey Partnership of Independents until November 2021,[3][4] is a political party in Guernsey founded in August 2020 by Gavin St Pier, Heidi Soulsby and Lyndon Trott.[5] As the Guernsey Partnership of Independents, it did not impose a whip on its members, and effectively operated as a big tent grouping of independents. HistoryWhen the party was founded, Gavin St Pier held the position of Chief Minister, a position he failed to retain in the October 2020 election for President of the Policy and Resources Committee. In October 2020 Heidi Soulsby was appointed Deputy Chief Minister,[6] a position she held until resigning from the Policy & Resources Committee in October 2022.[7] On 1 December 2021, the party was rebranded from GPI to Future Guernsey.[8][9] Lyndon Trott was elected President of the Policy and Resources Committee of Guernsey, becoming Chief Minister on 13 December 2023, following the vote of no-confidence in Peter Ferbrache. [10] Soulsby was elected back onto Policy & Resources Committee in December 2023, as Vice President.[11] Electoral performanceChief Minister
