use of the shamrock for Irish history articles?
Hi,
I wonder if the shamrock is the best symbol for Irish history articles? I'm not sure exactly what it symbolises, but it's possible that many (such as unionists) believe it might be too restrictive. Is there a better symbol for Ireland that can be said to be more inclusive? Maybe the shamrock is that symbol, but I'm just curious. I want to make sure this template can be added to any Irish history article without any controversy. Aaron McDaid (talk - contribs) 11:31, 6 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
