Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Karthik muniraman, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. —This lousy T-shirt— (talk) 19:33, 21 April 2015 (UTC)

Reviews in RPG articlesPlease do not just add the name of a magazine and issue number. Wikipedia is not an index. If you do not have access to the actual issue to summarize the review, do not add it at all. oknazevad (talk) 12:23, 27 June 2019 (UTC) Character's last appearancesFirst thing: Can you stop undo the works of that user please? When you said that it must be their death to be their final appearance, then that is the most awkward argument I've ever heard. When the story is come to an end, logically, the characters that didn't die we will see them for the last time and it's on every story. The characters didn't have to die to make their final appearances. For example, Rick Grimes in the television series, he didn't die, but it's his final appearance. Or Robinson Crusoe, he was alive at the end of the story, but it's the last time we see him. And the second thing: I don't understand your logic, you undo the characters' last appearances and arguing that the characters must die to make it as their final appearances, although you don't even realize that for example, on Maggie Greene page, on the last appearance section, you don't even undo the last television appearance and you certainly know that when we last time saw her, she was alive. So yeah, make sure first, what do you want to argue, cause what you write back there, doesn't make any sense. Thanks. --Tobi999tomas (talk) 18:18, 3 July 2019 (UTC) Charlie-27Good work on Charlie-27. October 2019Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to Prowler (comics): you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. 122.108.183.105 (talk) 02:13, 1 October 2019 (UTC)

January 2021Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Jimmy Woo, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. ExcutientTalk 22:46, 29 January 2021 (UTC)
Nav BoxesYou are welcome. Yes, the more articles I scan the more it becomes a herculean task. Just glancing at Fantastic Four shows what a mess it has become. The more recent and popular entries (eg. Guardians of the Galaxy) are becoming quite fannish. I'll check to see if the Manual of Style states anything, but I suspect it is open to interpretation. An area I'd like to start on is the Cosmics, and apply some "logical pruning". If you have any suggestions I would welcome them (it's like looking out a huge flood plain full of ruins and wondering where to start!). Regards Asgardian (talk) 15:10, 30 January 2021 (UTC) Thanks! Could you create an account for yourself? You've probably seen Wikipedia:Why create an account?, but everything it says is true. I wanted to thank you for creating Draft talk:Cthulhu for President , and now see you've really done a lot for RPGs on Wikipedia. Thanks! But when your name is just a string of numbers, that's harder to associate with you. If you made an account, youd get even more gratitude, you could make a user page showing your work, basically establish a persona here. And you'd keep that when your IP address changed. If you're worried about anonymity, you can be far more anonymous behind a user name than behind an IP address - a number of online services, like https://www.ipaddress.com/ will take your IP address and tell everyone your rough geographic location, which a user name would not. It's a good thing, really. --GRuban (talk) 19:46, 9 February 2021 (UTC)

ElfAccidentally hit submit without filling out the little explanation box. You at least deserve explanation, since it was your edit that was undone. The demi-humans were not presented as their own classes until the Moldvay/Cook versions of the d&d basic line in 1981. In the original 1974 Men and Magic book, which is the "original" version of d&d, there are only 3 classes: Fighting-Man, Magic-User, and Cleric. The demi-humans are not presented as their own classes, with tables and the like. From the elf description: "Elves can begin as either Fighting-Men or Magic-Users and freely switch class whenever they choose, from adventure to adventure, but not during the course of a single game." (Men & Magic, page 8). HopefulHyena (talk) 14:27, 28 March 2023 (UTC)

This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement. Points to note:
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. AntiDionysius (talk) 23:05, 16 November 2023 (UTC) If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this IP address or network has been used to disrupt Wikipedia. It has been blocked from editing to prevent further abuse.
If you are not the intended target of this block, please read the information below in order to receive assistance. Wikipedia tries to be open, but we sometimes must block IP addresses to prevent editing by abusers, vandals, or block evaders. These blocks can affect users who have done nothing wrong. If you are a legitimate user, follow the instructions below to edit despite the block. Users who are the intended target of a range block may still appeal the block.
IP users (without an account): If you do not have an account and wish to bypass this block, an account can be created to allow you to edit. In general, these blocks only prevent users who are not logged in from editing; once you are logged in, the block will no longer affect you in any way. To request an account, simply click here and follow the directions provided on the page. It is important that you use an e-mail address issued to you by your ISP, school, or organisation, so we may verify that you are a legitimate user. When filling out the account request form, please refer to this block in the "comments" input field. If you've been instructed to request an account via email, please refer to this block in your message. Registered users (with an account): Please make sure you are logged in to your account. If you are unable to edit while logged in, you may request IP block exemption to bypass blocks unconnected with you that affect your editing. Post an unblock request to your user talk page.Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped. For the recordFor the record, I wish to state that I believe I did not do anything wrong, or at least that I have done nothing so wrong as to deserve a highly punitive 3-year block to my IP. I feel that I have had my privileges to edit as an anonymous user eliminated as a matter of convenience. I will not fight it or continue to protest it though, as I do not expect to find any sympathetic ears, and so I merely wish to make this my final statement on the matter. I will find other ways to contribute, although I may fight vandalism less, and help less with minor mistakes and errors. Thank you to everyone here fighting the good fight. 8.37.179.254 (talk) 14:48, 22 November 2023 (UTC) |
