Augure
Augurea (latinez augur) Antzinako Erromako apaiz igarlea zen, hegaztien bidez etorkizuna igartzen zuena:[1] hegaztien kantua, hegaldiak, jateko era, barrenkiak, eta abar erabiltzen zituen horretarako. Augureek garrantzi handiko taldea osatzen zuten Erroman, besteek ez bezalako eskubideak zituzten, ohore handia, eta ez zen ezer egiten haien iritzia kontuan hartu gabe; Zizeron bera ere augure izan zen. IV. mendearen bukaera aldera ezkutarazi zituen Teodosiok.
Plutarkok idatzi zuen, hasieran, augure-ei, auspices izen ematen zitzaiela.[1]
