Barichara Kolonbiako udalerri bat da, Santander departamenduan dagoena. Guanentá probintziaren parte da. XVIII. mendearen amaierako eraikuntzengatik ezaguna da; herriaren alde zaharra 1978ko 1654ko dekretuaren bidez herrialdeko kultura ondare izendatu zuten. [1] Udalerri hau "Kolonbiako herririk ederrena" izateagatik da ezaguna, eta horregatik Monumentu Nazionalaren titulua merezi izan du. [2] Kolonbiako Ondare Hirien Sarearen parte da.
Gaur egun Baricharak “gastronomia, hotelak, muturreko kirolekiko lotura, ekoturismoarekiko lotura eta paisaian hemen ikusten dugun edertasun hori, garapen arkitektonikoa naturaren babesarekin batera daraman udalerri bat da” [3].
