Barnetegi
Barnetegia lehen eta bigarren hezkuntzako ikasleak ikasteaz gainera ikasdenboran zehar bertan bizi direneko ikastetxea da, gehienetan asteburuak eta oporraldiak kenduta. Terminoa euskara edo beste hizkuntza bat praktikatu eta guztiz ikasteko ikastetxeei ere aplikatzen zaie, ikasleak ikastaroan zehar ere bertan bizi direlarik.
Haur eta gaztetxoentzako barnetegiak ohikoak dira Commonwealth eta Estatu Batuetan. Herrialde hauetan barnetegiak pribatuak eta goi mailako familientzat izaten dira gainera, onartuak izateko hautespen prozesu bat gainditu behar eta kostu ekonomiko handia dituztelarik. Euskal Herrian famatua izan zen Lekarozko ikastetxea, non 1888 urtean sortu zutenetik guztira 13.000 ikasle ikasi dituzten.
