Barrón[1] (euskaraz Barron eta Barhoa formak ere erabili dira) Arabako herri bat da, Erriberagoitia udalerrikoa. 1927 arte Lacozmonte desagertutako udalerriaren barruan egon zen.[2]
Pentsa daiteke Donemiliagako goldean, 1025. urteko dokumentuan, agertzen den Barhoa toponimoa, herri honen izenaren forma zahar bat erakusten duela. Barhoa dokumentatzen da, berriro ere, Becerro Galicano kodexean, 1129. urteko dokumentu batean.[3][4]

Patxi Salaberri Zaratiegik azaltzen du
