Basketoa edo masketoa (ባስኬ፟ት, Basəke፟tə) Etiopiako Hegoaldeko Nazioen, Nazionalitateen eta Herrien Eskualdean dagoen Basketoaren Woreda Berezian hitz egiten den hizkuntza afroasiarra da[1]. Basketoz masketo deitzen diote bere hizkuntzari, baina inguruko guztiek basketo deritzote. Bi dialekto ditu: "Doko" eta "Dollo". Basketo herria osatzen dutenek, hizkuntza hrorez gain, melo, oyda, galila eta gofa hizkuntzak ere hitz egin ohi dituzte. Gaur egun 92.600 hiztun inguru ditu.
Kuxtar hizkuntzen iparraldeko eremuko hizkuntzekin hainbat ezaugarri partekatzen ditu, tartean subjektu-objektu-aditz antolaketa[2], morfema deribatibo ugari eta soinu glotalak.
