Basozain
Basozaina pertsonek irudika dezakete, baina baita mitologia, kondaira edo fikziozko pertsonaiek eta animaliek ere.
Basozain edo oihanzain lanbideari dagokionez eremu naturalak babesten eta zaintzen duten langile publikoak dira basozainak.
Euskadin Basozain eta Baso-agente izendapena jasotzen dute eta lurralde historiko bakoitzak bere basozain edo oihanzain taldea dauka.
Horiek Basoak edo baso-parkeak, padurak, oihanak, etxe-guneak edo mendiak izan daitezke. Bere eginkizunen artean babestutako animalia eta landareen jarraipena egitea, baso-suteen itzaltze eta koordinazio lanak burutzea edo arau hausteak salatzea dira. Mendi eremuetan burutzen diren ekintza eta obra ororen jarraipena egiteaz gain baliabide arkeologiko eta kulturalen babesean ere jarduten dute.
