Chiani (latinez: Clanis edo Glanis, antzinako grezieraz: Κλάνις edo Γλάνις<) Toscana lurraldeko ibai italiarra da. 42 km.ko luzera du. Arezzoko Apeninoetan sortzen da, Chiusiko harana zeharkatzen du eta Paglia ibaian isurtzen da, Orvietotik gertu.[1]
Historia
Erromatarren garaian, urak Tiber ibaira isurtzen ziren oso-osorik. Historikoki, sarritan, uholde handiak eragin ditu Chiusiko haranean, eta Erromaraino ere iritsi ziren.[2]
Erdi Aroan, Arezzo eta Chiusi arteko haran osoa zingira eremua zen. XVIII. mendearen amaiera aldera, Conte Fossombroni ingeniariak[3] gaiari heldu zion eta arroa 25 bat kilometro hegoalderago mugitu zuen, Chiusi haraneko ura parte batean Arnorantz eta beste batean Tiberrerantz joan zedin.
