Dehesa[1] (gaztelaniaz: dehesa; portugesez: montado) artez, artelatzez edo beste espezie batzuez osatutako basoa da, larre edo sastraken beheko geruza duena. Bertan, gizakiaren jarduera handia izan da ia baso osoan, oro har, aziendari eusteko, ehizarako eta beste baso-produktu batzuk (egurra, kortxoa, perretxikoak eta abar) aprobetxatzeko erabiltzen da.
Iberiar penintsulako mendebaldeko nekazaritza eta abeltzaintza sistemaren adibide tipikoa da.[2]
Dehesa hitza latinezko defesa (euskaraz: «defentsa») hitzetik dator, errekonkistako lehen biztanleek hesiak egiten baitzituzten bertan zeuden artaldeak babesteko.[3]
