Entebbe Ugandako hiria da. Herrialdearen hegoaldean dago, Erdialdeko eskualdean, Victoria aintziraren iparraldeko ertzeko penintsula batean, Kampalatik 37 kilometro hego-mendebaldera. 96.200 biztanle zituen 2019an.[1]

Historia
1976ko ekainaren 27an, Palestinaren Askapenerako Herri Frontearen komando batek, Revolutionäre Zellen taldearen laguntzaz, 246 bidaiari zeramatzan Air Franceko hegazkin bat bahitu zuen. Bahitzaileek Entebbeko aireportura eraman zuten hegazkina, eta hainbat lurraldetan espetxeratutako 53 palestinar askatzeko eskatu zuten.[3] Idi Amin Ugandako diktadoreak babesa eman zien bahitzaileei. Ondoko egunetan bahituak aske utzi zituzten, 105 israeldarrak izan ezik. Uztailaren 4an, Israelgo Defentsa Indarretako komando berezi batek egindako erreskate operazioan, bahituetako 102 askatzea lortu zuten. Bahitzaile guztiak eta 45 ugandar soldadu hil ziren operazioan, eta baita israeldar soldadu bat ere.[4]
