Espejo[1] Arabako Gaubea udalerria osatzen duten herrietako bat da.
Geografia
Espejo ingurune lau batean kokaturik dago eta Omecillo ibaiak zeharkatzen du herria. Mendebalderantz joan ahala Arcena mendilerro inguruko muinoak agertzen hasten dira.
Historia
Las Ermitas/Barkabao, kontzejuan dagoen aztarnategia da, erromatar garaiko egiturak eta materialak eman dituena.[2]
919 urteko Valpuestako kartularioetan agertzen da herriaren aurreneko aipamena, eta errepide erromatar batean kokaturik dagoela esaten da bertan. Erdi Aroan Gesaltzako gatza ateratzeko eta Gaztelako zekalea sartzeko bidean kokaturik egon zen.
