Galago Galagidae familiako generoetako bat da eta familia osoari ohiko izena ematen diote. Primate Strepsirrhiniak dira. Baliteke Afrikako primate ugarienak izatea eta baso handi guztietan aurki daitezke kontinentean. Euren lurraldea txisa eskuetan egiten markatzen dute, eskuekin gero zuhaitzak ukitzen dituztelako. Gauez mugitzen direnean lorratz hauek jarraitzen dituzte. Lorisekin harremanetan daude eta anatomia eta portaera antzekoa dute. Hala ere azkarragoak dira eta horregatik ehizatzeko aukera handiagoak dituzte. Uste denez Galago primitiboenak lemur guztien arbasoak dira.
