Hipozentroa (antzinako grezieraz ὑπο, hypo, «azpi» eta κέντρον kéntron, «zentro»), lurrikararen gunea edota gune sismikoa, lurrikara edo mugimendu sismikoaren Lur barneko sorgunea da.
Epizentroa (antzinako grezieraz epi, «gain») hipozentroaren lurgaineko proiekzioa da, alegia, sorgunearen bertikala; lurzoruko gune hau lurrikara indar handienaz sentitzen den gunea da. Greziar aurrizkiek adierazten duten moduan, hipozentroa litosferaren barnealdeko puntu bat da, aldiz, epizentroa lurzoruaren gaineko puntua da.
