Hunab Ku (huˈnaɓ ku ahoskatua) maien jainko gorena da, mundua sortu zuen jainkosa
Maiak pentsatzen zuten jainko honen bihotza eta burmuina unibertsoaren zentroan zegoela. Berarekin komunikatzeko eguzkia erabiltzen zuten. Berak mundua hiru aldiz egin zuen. Lehenengoa jenioak hartu zuten bigarrena arraza iluna eta txarra eta hirugarrenean maiak
Maiek sinesten zuten 5.125 urte pasatzean planeta guztiak alienatzen zirela eta honek energia inpultsu bat eragiten zuen, energia honek mundua amaitu ahal zuela esaten zuten.
