Ilargi ate
Ilargi atea (txineraz Martxoko atea edo Apirileko atea bezala ezaguna) horma batean egindako irekiera zirkularra da. Ohikoa da txinatar lorategietan. Azpitik igarotzen denari zorte on ematen omen dio.[1]
Jatorria
Hasieran Indoeuropar herrietako ohitura omen zen. Herri horiek Ilargiari debozioa zioten eta ate hauek haren sinboloa zen. Normalean, atearen erdiak horma gainditzen zuen eta harriekin osatzen zen.
Sineskeriak
Gaur egun azpitik igarotzeak zorte ona dakarrela pentsatzen da. Zeelanda Berrian, esaterako, ezkonberriek horrela egiten dute bikotearen bizitzan dena ondo joateko.
Txinatar lorategietan
Ilargi ateak (txineraz: 月亮 门, txinera sinplifikatuaz:: yu loi manh) goi mailako klaseen lorategietako sarrereetan erabiltzen da. Txinatik beste herrialdetara zabaldu da: Korea, Japonia, Vietnam... Pasabide zirkular hauek ilargi betearen sinboloak dira. Askotan ate hauek apaingarriak dira eta ez dira erabiltzen. Askotan, atearen beste aldean, lorategia ikusten da, teloi bat izango balitz bezala.
