Inwa (birmanieraz: အင်းဝမြို့, ang:wa.mrui., ʔɪ́ɰ̃wa̰ mjo̰ edo ʔəwa̰ mjo̰ ahoskatua; lehen Ava deitua) Myanmarko erdialdean dagoen herria da, Mandalaytik gertu dagoena. Hiriaren palierazko izen klasikoa Ratanapura da (ရတနပုရ; "harribitxien hiria").[1]
Hiria Irawadi ibaiaren ertzean dago, Mandalaytik hego-mendebaldera, XIV. mendean shanek sortu zuten, bere hiriburu bilakatu zutenak. 1527an suntsitua izan zen, baina berriro metropolia izatera iritsi zen 1634an, Toungoo dinastiaren ardurapean. Alaungpayak XVIII. mendean Konbaung dinastia sortu zuenean, Avak hiriburu bilakatu zen denbora batez, eta baita geroago ere, dinastiak Amarapura eta Mandalay eraiki zituenean.
