Kantinplora[1] edaria eramateko erabiltzen den ontzia da, bidaietarako, txangoetarako, bizitza militarrerako eta landako langileentzat ohikoa dena. Heldulekuak edo eusteko beste modu bat izan dezake sorbalda edo gerritik zintzilik eramateko, bai eta material isolatzaile bat ere, edariaren tenperatura hotza denbora beroan mantentzeko. Kantinplora mota batzuek katilu bat daramate oinarrian edo estalkian.
Hegoafrikan duela 60.000 urteko antzeko ontziak topatu dituzte.[2]
