Lubin (alemanez: Lüben) Poloniako hego-mendebaldeko hiri-udalerria, Silesia Behereko voivoderrian kokatua eta Lubingo barrutiaren hiriburua. 2014ko abenduaren 31ko datuen arabera 73.658 biztanle zituen.[1]
Lubin Legnicko-Głogowski Okręg Miedziowy izeneko kobrearen industria-eremuaren barruan kokatuta dago. Nabarmentzekoa da Lubinen egoitza duen KGHM Polska Miedź enpresa, munduko kobre eta zilar-ekoizlerik nagusienetakoa.

Etimologia
Heinrich Adamy hizkuntzalariaren arabera, hiriaren izena polonierazko lubić (atsegin izan) hitzetik dator.[2] Heinrichek Lobyn edota Lubyn izenak aipatzen ditu 1888an argitaratu zuen lanean. Izen hauek alemanezko "Lieblingsort" adierarekin lotu zituen, hau da, herri kutun edo herri maite.[2] Ondoren, izena Lüben bezala alemandu zen, jatorrizko esanahia galduz.
