Mandarin ahatea[1] (Aix galericulata) Anatidae familiaren ahate domestiko eta ez-domestikoa da.
Espezieak ekialdeko Asian du jatorria, baina haren habitatek jasan dituen erasoak direla eta, Errusian eta Txinan mila espezimen eta Japonian 5.000 inguru geratzen dira[2]. Zaleek harrapatuta, Europara zenbait espezimen bidali zituzten eta ihes egitean bertakotu dira, baita Euskal Herrian ere.
Txineraz Yuan-yang du izena (txinera sinplifikatuaz: 鸳鸯, txinera tradizionalaz: 鴛鴦, pinyinez: yuān yāng): yuan (鴛) "arra" da eta yang (鴦), "emea".
