Mangostan
Mangostana klusiazeoen (edo Gutiferoen) familiako fruitu-zuhaixka, berez Moluka uharteetakoa baina tropiko aldeko beste herrialde askotan ere landatzen dena (Garcinia mangostana). Hosto zabal larrukara izaten du, fruitu gorria, baia-egiturakoa eta mami zuriz bildutako haziak dituena, baratxuri alearen antzekoak. Haziaren gaineko mamia da jaten dena, eta duen ahogozoagatik oso aintzat hartua da. Fruituaren eta enbor-adarren azalean duen izerdia oihalei kolorea emateko erabiltzen da.
Mangostan Asiako tropikoetako fruta ospetsu eta zaporetsuena da.
Fruituak hazteko eta ekoizteko tenperatura ideala 25-35 °C-ko tenperatura du, hezetasun erlatiboa% 80 baino gehiago.
