Pinediem I.a eta Isetemjeb II.aren lehen semea zen. Kargua, K.a. 1054an heredatu zuen, bere aita faraoi izendatua izan zenean.

Bere agintaldian, Deir el-Baharira Egiptoko Inperio Berriko faraoien momiak eramaten jarraitu zuen, ordurarte Erregeen Haranean lurperatuta zeudenak, lapurreta eta profanazioak eragozteko.
