Mestizaje
Mestizajea arrazen arteko gurutzaketa da.[1] Mestizajea etnia ezberdinen gurutzaketa biologiko eta kulturala da: etnia horiek nahasten dira, etnia eta genotipo berriak sortuz. Sarri, termino hori Amerikan gertatutako prozesu historikoa deskribatzeko erabiltzen da, gaur egungo egoera etniko eta kulturalera eraman zuena.
Herrialde modernoen historian, hainbat faktorek mestizajean eragina izan dute, hala nola klimak, komunitate bakoitzaren ezaugarri kulturalek edo beste alderdi batzuek. Latinoamerika mestizajearen adibidea nabaria da.
