Mirin (japonieraz: 味醂) Japoniako sukaldaritzan funtsezko ongarria da, eta zapore gozoa du.[1] Sakearen antzeko arroz-ardo mota bat da, baina alkohol gutxi duena. Edo Aroan, sake gozo bat bezala hartzen zuten, otoso (japonieraz: お屠蘇) deitua.
Kansai eskualdean, alkohola lurruntzeko laburki irakin ondoren erabiltzen dute; Kantō eskualdean, berriz, den bezala erabiltzen da. Mirin irakinari Nikiri Mirin diote. Mirina, arraina txingarretan zapore ukitu bat gehitzeko edo arrainari zaporea kentzeko erabiltzen dute. Azukre kopuru txiki bat eta soja saltsa egiteko erabiltzen dute. Mirina funtsezkoa da yakitoriekin batera joan ohi den teriyaki saltsarako.
