Monoptero
Arkitekturan monoptero [tenplua] [1] (antzinako grezieraz: ο μονόπτερος, "hegal bakuna" [2]) eraikuntza soil bat da, teilatua eusten duen hormarik gabeko kolomadi zirkular bat hain zuzen ere. Periptero tenpluaren mota berezi bat da; bertan cellaren inguruan kolomadi bat zirkunferentzia bat osatzen du. Tenplua zirkularra izateaz gain cella zilindrikoa duenean monoptero-periptero esaten zaio.
Tholos (zentzu zabal batean "tenplu zirkularra") batean ordea, ez dago cellarik. Antzinako Grezian eta, batez ere Antzinako Erroman, eraikin monopteroak, beste eginkizun batzuen artean baldakino modura erabiltzen zen, gurtzako irudiari estalpea emateko, esaterako Atenaseko Lisicrates-ren monumentua.
