Mortis causa
Mortis causa, zuzenbidean erabiltzen den latinezko esaera bat da, pertsona bat hil ondoren gertatzen diren ekintza juridikoei erreferentzia egiten diena. Esaerak, literalki, "heriotzaren ondorioz" esan nahi du, hau da, arrazoia, pertsona baten heriotza dela.
Inter vivos ekintza juridikoen aurkakoa da, hau, pertsonen borondatez ematen baita, bi pertsonetako bat ere hila ez dagoelarik. Adibide bat, enpresa baten igortzea, salmenta baten ondorioz da, horrekin batera dauden kontratuez gain.
