MACA (Multiple Access Collission Avoidance)
Haririk gabeko sare lokalentzako definitutako lehen protokoloa dugu MACA. IEEE 802.11 estandarraren oinarria da.
Protokoloaren prozedura
MACA protokoloaren prozedura:
- Igorleak hartzailearen atentzioa pizteko bit-multzo (RTS, request to sent trama) labur bat bidaltzen dio.
- Hartzaileak, prest baldin badago elkarrizketari ekiteko, CTS tramarekin erantzuten dio
- Inguruko estazioek trama hori detektatu eta gero igorle eta hartzailearen tramen zirkulazioa bukatu arte itxaroten dute
CTS trama aztertuz transmisioaren iraupena jakiten da. MACAW MACAren aldaera doitua dugu. 1994. urtean errendimendu azterketak ikertuz ateratako pČrotokolo berria.
