Nixapur[1] (persieraz: نیشاپور) Irango hiria da, Razavi Khorasan probintzian kokatua. Omar Khayyamen jaioterria izan zen. Azken erroldaren arabera hiriak 500.000 biztanle inguru ditu. Binalud mendiko lautada emankorrean dago, Maxhadetik gertu. Khorasan Handiaren mendebaldeko eskualdearen hiriburu historikoa, IX. mendeko Tahirid dinastiaren hiriburu historikoa, XI. mendeko Seljuktar Inperioaren hasierako hiriburua, eta gaur egun Nishapur konderriko hiriburua izan da, eta baita Iranen eta Khorasan Handiaren eskualdean garrantzi kultural eta ekonomikoa duen Zetaren Bideko hiri historikoa ere.[2]
